the heart of mission

Hi girls!

I know it's been an incredible two weeks thus far. We've opened up ourselves in CG and discussed about Mission last week. Also, we've been blessed by the very timely word preached by Ps Dave in Ignite. And most of all, we're all doing our homework and being accountable to each other! Amen? *wink*

As the Change the World Mission Conference approaches this weekend, let's prepare ourselves and pray continuously; so God can take us places to fulfill the unique purpose He placed in each of us. Allow me to share this poem here below (one of my favourites) and I hope that you'll be inspired to not just do church, but to be the church!

xoxo!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Life without purpose is barren indeed
There can't be a harvest unless you plant a seed
There can't be attainment unless there's a goal
And man's but a robot unless there's a soul
If we send no ships out, no ships will come in
And unless there's a contest, nobody can't win
For games can't be won unless they are played
And prayers can't be answered unless they are prayed
So whatever is wrong with your life today
You'll find a solution if you kneel down and pray
Not just for pleasure, enjoyment and health
Not just for honour and prestige and wealth
But pray for a purpose to make life worth giving
And pray for the joy of unselfish giving
For great is your gladness and rich your reward
When you make your life's purpose the choice of the Lord
i found this poem in one of my folders in my email, while browsing through them.
it's dated 2004, and i didn't type in the author's name. so i don't exactly know who wrote it! heh. i copied and pasted, but i definitely didn't author it =P
